  6. But the gram vinyl re-issue of Steely Dan's "Aja" is a real gem. The LP surface was smooth and clean and throughout the entire album, there was no more than 3 very, very faint "ticks". The overall sound quality compared to my CD of the same album was actually more dynamic with crisp, fast & airy treble attack with tight bass /5(K).

  8. This is a very good sounding album. That said, it doesn't sound near the level of the original LP. If you can find a good original pressing, I'd get that. This one is a little muddled and shallow. All in all, it's a very good album, just not from the original master tapes.
